First Canadian Pavilion ever at REHACARE
Canada – Number 8 at the show
The 40th REHACARE INTERNATIONAL will return to Düsseldorf from October 4 – 7, 2017. The leading event will once again be focusing on people with disabilities, care needs and chronic diseases as well as the elderly. Over 800 exhibitors from 39 countries will be presenting the latest in innovative equipment and technology in order to enable people to live a largely self-determined life. Over 50% of the exhibitors are from outside Germany, among them 15 from Canada taking over 34% more exhibition space than in the cyclically comparable 2015 edition of the show. Large national group presentations are from Denmark, Great Britain, China and Taiwan and for the very first time a smaller one from Canada.
Mobility is a key focus at REHACARE with over 200 exhibitors presenting products like wheelchairs, scooters and walking aids. Among them Motion Composites from Quebec, which has not only been the centrepiece of the Canadian cluster at REHACARE for a number of years but also won the much coveted reddot design award for the APEX, its adjustable rigid wheelchair, earlier this year.
The Canadian cluster in hall 4 will group all 15 exhibitors together for the first time, making it easy for visitors to see the whole spectrum of Canadian technology and expertise in one central area. Another first this year will be a Canadian Pavilion at the centre of this cluster with two new exhibitors and RAZ Design, another long-time Canadian product powerhouse at the show, from Ontario. The Pavilion was conceived and realized in close co-operation between the Government of Ontario and Messe Düsseldorf (Canada). Canada is the 8th largest exhibitor nation at the show by number of exhibitors.
