Core Qualifications of the BG-Hospitals

Serious injuries are a shock for everyone affected, but they are part of the daily routine for the interdisciplinary teams of experts of the BG Hospitals. The medical care of polytrauma  and brain injury after severe accidents  is among their core qualifications.

Our institutes make significant contributions to the treatment of patients with burn, spinal cord and hand injuries. 55 per cent of all beds for severe burn patients and 40 per cent of the beds for spinal cord injury patients in Germany are located in Hospital Group facilities.

Further Foci: In septic surgery, patients with infections are treated using the latest methods in wound management. The sports medicine division takes care of professional as well as non-professional athletes from all over the globe. These experts take their cue from sports: the team is the star. Physicians, nurses and therapists are all proven experts in their field of practice. They work together as closely as possible with colleagues from various disciplines, ensuring that the patient is more than just the sum of their injured parts.

About us

Company details

The Hospital Group of the Statutory Accident Insurance (BG Hospitals) is organized according to the principle of self-administration. As in every other institution of the Statutory Accident Insurance in Germany, it is managed by representatives of employers and insured persons. Employers and insured persons make up the members of the general committee in equal shares, as well as the eight-headed executive board, which in turn elects the management.

The medical advisory board is responsible for medical issues. Various business divisions take care of central services for the clinics and promote the Hospital Group’s development.
