Pacer Gait Trainers – M, L & XL

Gait training has come a long way since we introduced our first model in the 1980s. And over the years our customers have faithfully delivered design suggestions. Now, we’re proud to respond with the redesigned Pacer. We know you’ll see your ideas reflected in this newly imagined gait trainer. Download the New Pacer brochure.

Mobile Standers

Eye to eye, smile to smile — engaging with peers is so much more rewarding for individuals with special needs when they can interact in an upright and mobile position. And the Mobile Stander, a mobile prone stander, makes it easy — even for those with no weight-bearing ability. NOTE: This product was formerly the Dynamic Stander.

The Mobile Stander provides new independence and standing mobility for wheelchair- bound clients. More importantly, this Mobile Stander helps strengthen critical motor skills so a user can progress toward independent standing.

Prone Standers

The physiological benefits of standing are enormous - not to mention the psychological benefits of being able to tackle activities in an upright position, participating at eye level alongside peers.

Prone Standers allow for physical development and greater social interaction - enabling clients to experience the world more fully while building strength for the future. Our Prone Standers provide anterior support and stability while encouraging weight-bearing and use of both hands and arms. Fully adjustable, Prone Standers can "grow" with clients as their skills develop.

About us

Company details

Rifton began in 1977 as an offshoot of Community Playthings, a leading manufacturer of furniture and equipment for early childhood settings. When our designers paid a neighborly visit to a Connecticut home for children with disabilities, a therapist asked if they could custom-build a chair for one of their residents.

In the next months similar requests trickled in, and before long designers and workers at Community Playthings were dreaming about an entirely different and new line of equipment. And so Rifton Equipment began.

Those same early years saw a growing sensitivity in society to people with special needs. Americans increasingly recognized every person’s right to be treated with dignity and respect. At Rifton, we believe people with disabilities deserve our best.
