Network rehaKIND

Our network joins various competencies and areas of expertise together and works out common goals.
To assure good care that  meets individual requirements and to use the available budget for the optimal benefit of the children – that is the aim of our common efforts.

Within a constantly changing framework, agreement on common goals can only be accomplished with the cooperation of all those involved. To view each case in its totality, paired with a common approach, creates better results for all participants. Disorganized therapies as well as costs incurred by suboptimal measures are thereby avoided.

Children’s rehabilitation ist not a luxury, but a moral obligation!
Together we drive towards optimized paths to success. The association’s work is mostly performed by our members from the fields of manufacturing, supply and cost bearers. Our expert advisors inform our goals with their specific knowledge. Child-rehab specialists introduce our ideas and educated competencies into practice.

Inclusion

The right of children with handicap to attend regular schools is realized through inclusive education.
The acceptance of children with physical handicaps ist viewed as difficult because of a lack of medical knowledge, concerns about accessibility and technical equipment, or the individually required aids and medications.
rehaKIND’s network can provide information, centralized and regional advisors and ideas for sources of medical aids.

The Needs Assessment Form

Learn more how to work with the Needs Assessment Form, NAF (referred to as the BEB) for the assurance of quality care.

The Need Assessment Forms (NAF) serves to create a common picture of the patient, as well as the needs and the goals to ensure the quality and transparency of this process of care for all parties involved. The NAF is filled out by all the persons involved in the provision of aids (parents, physicians, therapists, retailer and health insurance employees).
The NAF does not constitute a finding, but serves as a basis for the selection of an aid. Therefore, it makes sense to fill it out only if the necessary information for developing a concept for assistive technology is available. If more detailed information on individual areas is necessary, the information will be made available by the appropriate specialist. In most cases this is done by the therapist; however, there are many cases in which the other parties (parents, physicians, and rehabilitation consultants) are required.

The 1/2015 version is based on the ICF (minimum list ICF-CY, p. 320), some items have been taken off due to experience with previous lists, and some items have been covered in more detail due to the conceptual formulation of the NAF.

Who is rehaKIND?
A neutral network with experience and engagement
The individualized supply of assistive products for children with special needs and chronic diseases is the central focus of our work.
As central advisors for parents, caregivers, cost bearers and policy makers, we have made a name for ourselves in many areas of children’s rehabilitation and are considered a pillar of our community. Since our founding in the year 2000 we have dedicated ourselves to the special needs of children and youths with handicaps.

We are supported by our:
Members (manufacturers, key suppliers, publishers, law offices, clinics, individuals)
Expert advisors (medical science, cost bearers, specialised suppliers, patients and parents)
Partnering associations (self-help groups, health policy influencers and professional organisations)
The rehabilitive care of children with handicaps is an especially sensitive area and therefore demands the interdisciplinary cooperation of all involved.

rehaKIND currently has more than 85 members from the areas of health care product manufacturers, publishers, law offices, clinics, exhibition organizers and specialized suppliers. Also included are more than 800 child-rehab specialists from the fields of commerce and therapy. You can learn more about our members on our Partners Page.
