HMN A/S

HMN was founded in 1934 in Denmark as a furniture-producing company. The company was started by Holger Marius Nielsen, who could see the possibilities of using new techniques in metal production. Our production was started with the then new technique with cold bending of metal pipes. The use of plastics was virtually non-existent, and in addition to rehab products, we produced furniture for canteens, living rooms, bedrooms and offices. The rehab products we produced were primarily bed / reading tables, shower/commode chairs, study beds and the like for medical clinics and hospitals.

The welfare state with rehabilitation and a systematisation of help for the elderly and the disabled was only in its start-up. Both the society and the product have developed a lot of the world since then.
